The PIO Controller provides 20 pins for general-purpose inputs and outputs. Firmware may set any of the GPIO pins to either input or output. In output mode, the pins may be set to a high or low voltage. Each pin has independent polarity control so that the pin voltage may be independent of logical signal level. An interrupt can be generated on any transition on any dedicated input pin or GPIO pin in input mode. Each pin has masks for setting the interrupt on either rising or falling edge or both.
