Palmchip’s SoC IP and design services enabled our customer to significantly reduce cost and save 60% of design cycle time for WiMAX System-on-Chip design and verification.

By using Palmchip’s storage SoC IP, board design and software design services our customer was able to reduce 70% of design cycle time. Palmchip provided complete turnkey solution to the customer on time. Palmchip worked with the customer from specification to final product delivery, which included, RTL Verilog design, FPGA design and synthesis and firmware driver and OS porting.

Palmchip’s CoreFrame SoC Integration Platform enabled our customers to cut four months from their chip design cycle time and reduce chip cost and power consumption by 25%. Palmchip provided complete ARM based SoC Platform to build a DVD chip. The customer was first to introduce a single-chip DVD player in the world and won 16 design wins. Palmchip worked with the customer from specification to final product delivery, which included RTL Verilog design, firmware design and synthesis.

Palmchip successfully delivered an assembler and compiler based on GNU’s GAS and GCC for a Silicon Valley startup coming up with a new processor for low power video devices.

Zero-day attacks are the most serious security threat facing today’s enterprises.  Palmchip’s team of software engineers has been working with a Silicon Valley startup on building a leading-edge product for defense against such attacks. Our engineers have been offering their expertise in understanding network protocol vulnerabilities and have been implementing techniques for protection from threats such as worms and bots.
Several successful releases of this product have been delivered and work is continuing on advancing the state of the art in this important area.

Seagate is a world leader in making hard drives. Palmchip has worked with Seagate on various storage projects. Our latest project is helping Seagate with making some of their storage products compatible with Windows Vista. We have successfully completed compatibility implementation for Seagate’s OneTouch III product. 

Palmchip has successfully released a multimedia Web conference application for a client. The application supports video streaming, desktop sharing, instant messaging and conducting Power Point presentations over the Web. The application supports thousands of participants per conference and has superior performance in areas such as desktop sharing compared with other commercial products.

As part of a major research project funded by a research grant from a major R&D fund Palmchip has been developing a Manager of Managers network management system to provide integrated management of equipment from multiple vendors. In addition, rich functionality for documenting and designing optical fiber network outside plant have been implemented upon a Geographic Information System. Integrated NMS and GIS functionality helps localize faults on a map thus helping to reduce time to repair.
